Story

Chaddha (Amrish Puri) & D'Souza (K.Vishwanath) are two childhood friends. Though both belong to two different communities, they share a very cordial relationship. Trouble arises when Chaddha's daughter & D'souza's son fall in love and marry against their parent's will. Since then both the families hate each other and cannot see eye to eye. After a period of 25 years, both the families receive letters from Raja, saying he is their grandchild and is coming to live with them. On arrival, he is outright, rejected by both the families, only to find shelter with Ghooman Singh (Kadar Khan) a raucous singer. Raja wins over the love of his grandparents.
