Story

Boom? is all hype and little substance. In spite of the 'eye-catching' cast ensemble that includes three sensuous belles ? Padma, Katrina and Madhu Sapre ? Amitabh Bachchan, and the Hollywood stunner Bo Derek, the movie fails to hold the viewer interest. The movie has a stylish look and captivating music score, but that is all about it. There is too much of exposure (and vulgarity too, thanks to the lewd character Boom Shankar played by Javed Jaffery) that makes the movie unwatchable for the family crowd. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is made to look like a weirdo in the movie. All-dressed in white, Big B plays the underworld kingpin Bade Mia who delights in reading comics and chasing Hollywood fantasies in his free time.
