Rajeev (Adil Hussain) lives a middle class life with his wife Lata (Geetanjali Kulkarni), daughter Sunita (Palomi Ghosh) and father Daya (Lalit Behl). As his father Daya senses his fast approaching death, he wishes to spend the rest of his life in Varanasi's 'Mukti Bhawan', the very place where the old people breathe their last so that their remains can be immersed in the holy water of River Ganges.
