For those who liked their pairing in Guru, you're lucky. And for those who are sick of hearing Aishwarya-Abhishek film announcements, I'm sorry to make matters worse.
Rajiv Menon, who earlier directed Aishwarya in the Tamil film Kandukondain Kandukondain, has announced his next project to be presented by Eros International starring none other than Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan. He confirms, "I was toying with the film?s storyline when I was doing the cinematography of Guru. I had narrated the story idea to Abhi and Ash.They liked it and wanted to hear the script once I had written it. Recently, before Abhishek went to Miami, they were finalised." Incidentally, Saif Ali Khan was also considered for Abhishek's role.
The film is said to be centred around music and will have tunes by A.R. Rahman. Also, it is being co-scripted by Bhavni Iyer who wrote the screenplay of Black.
Currently, Abhishek is filming Karan Johar's production Dostana in Miami with Ash accompanying him (although she is not starring in the film). Ash had dates reserved for Sriram Raghavan's next with John Abraham, but Raghavan had not completed scripting on time and now John is caught up filming with Abhishek for the same film. It remains to be seen whether this film will hit the floors soon. Come early fall and the couple will embark on Mani Ratnam's intense romantic story together. Following this, Ash will film Robot with Rajnikanth and only in 2009 will the couple's project with Menon commence.
