Baadshah - 1999

Story

Baadshah (Shahrukh Khan), the private detective, has four stooges working for him answering to the names of Ram Lal (Johnny Lever), Charlie, Harpal Singh and Sudhir Lutharia. They are a bunch that solves a case here and a case there, but has to attract customers through all sorts of gimmicks.

Gayatri Bachchan (Rakhee) is the Chief Minister of Goa. Thapar (Amrish Puri) wants her to be ?silenced? for his survival in the long run of competitive business dealings. Thapar makes big plans to destroy her. Government brings in CBI to save her life.

In the meantime, Baadshah has fallen in love with Seema (Twinkle Khanna) while solving a case involving her. But this love does not come easy. There is a lot of cheating and fraud during the development of this love story. Seema hates Baadshah for that and keeps upsetting all his plans.

A CBI officer, Deepak Malhotra, flying under the code ?Baadshah? (Deepak Tijori) is assigned the task of protecting CM Gayatri Devi.

From here on it is confusion galore. There is utter chaos because there are too many people called Baadshah. Deepak Malhotra gets killed. More confusion follows when CBI mistakes Baadshah for their officer and Thapar as his gunman.

Finally things start falling into place. Seema helps Baadshah in solving some of the problems. And, after a lot of slam and bang, the Chief Minister?s life is saved and everything ends peacefully.
