Aryan Vaid Sexiest man in India

He was voted the sexiest man in India, thanks to the Graviera Mr. India contest.

His love for food is what persuaded him to sign up at the Dadar Catering College in Mumbai for a three-year course.

He worked as a chef at The Leela Hotel in Mumbai, for some time.

He then later ran his own catering business, supplying food to The Indian Medical Association of Bombay and The Rotary Club.

He joined Sahara Airlines as a flight-purser.

He saw the ad and decided to apply for the Grasim Mr. India 2000 contest.

He has always been actively involved with theatre.

He's acted in plays like Trishna and Akhir Samanand has also done a few street plays at the Prithvi theatre in Mumbai.

It was during one of these plays that he was offered a role in the TV serial Campus. This "led to modeling offers. And then, it kind of just started rolling from there," he says.

He believes that "contests help in personal growth and the all-round development of a person. It is the perfect platform to launch yourself. Contrary to what people believe, it takes a lot of guts and courage to go up there. Knowing that even when you bat an eyelash, you're being evaluated. It isn't easy."

He is hardly ever seen on TV unlike the rest of the model fraternity. "Soon after I won the contest", he explains, "I went to Hyderabad to shoot for a film. That hardly left time for anything else.

He debuts in a film called Heartbeat. Pooja Batra stars opposite him, and it is directed by Nitish Roy.

He also doing a TV show called Jungle Patrol for Pahlaj Nihalani's TV company. It's something like Baywatch, but set in the jungles," he says.

His prime focus right now is to prepare himself for the Mr. International Contest, which will be held in Jodhpur in July. Following which, there's always Mr. World?
