Biography
Nimrat Kaur is a popular Indian actress. She came into limelight with Ritesh Batra's "The Lunchbox" starring Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddique in the lead roles. The film got unanimous praise from the audience during its screening at the Cannes film festival. Nimrat was seen playing Akshay Kumar's wife in the movie Airlift.
Nimrat Kaur was born on 13 March 1982 in Pilani, Rajasthan. Her family lived in Patiala, and she studied at Yadavindra Public School, Patiala. In 1994, her father died in a terrorist attack in Kashmir so the family moved to Delhi, Noida, where she grew up and attended Delhi Public School, Noida. Later, she studied at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, and began working in local theatre. She has done a number of ads, eg. Asian Paints, TVC, Cadbury Silk, Boroplus, Pantaloons and many more. She also did music video's in the album "Tera Mera Pyar".
