Story

Manav, (Akshaye Khanna) the young and brilliant son of an NRI billionaire comes to Chamba, a picturesque place in Himachal Pradesh. While his family is busy negotiating the buying of land for a power project they are planning, Manav finds himself totally bewitched by the beauty of the Himalayas, and the lovely Mansi (Aishwarya Rai). Mansi is a gifted folk singer and dancer of Chamba. Manav and Mansi fall in love and commit themselves to each other, but when Mansi and her highly respected folk singer/father Tarababu visit Manav's family in Mumbai, they are insulted and humiliated.
