Aditya Pancholi

Biography

Whatever Aditya Pancholi had in mind, fate had other plans for him. Travelling in a Mumbai local train once, he was spotted by the secretary of a film director who was on the look out of new faces. This cat-eyed handsome man appealed to him and Aditya Panscholi became the new star on the horizon of Hindi cinema.

But Aditya Pancholi could not live upto the expectations bestowed upon him. His first film 'Sasti Dulhan Mehenga Dulha' in 1984 paved way for money and other good things in life, but he couldn?t make it big in the movies, and had to settle with second fiddle roles of a brother or the trustworthy ?aide? to the hero.

Some of his movies include 'Jaadugar', 'Akeyla' with Amitabh Bachchan, 'Saathi' with Mohseen Khan, 'Gambler' with Govinda, 'Mahasangram', 'Dayavaan', 'Aatish' with Sanjay Dutt and many other unconventional films. But two movies that really got him acclaim were 'Yes Boss' and 'Hamesha', where he did a convincing job portraying the 55-year-old Thakur.

Aditya Panscholi also tried his hands at production, but was not very successful with the venture either. His home-production 'Chor Aur Chaand' with Pooja Bhatt was an experience he?d rather ?forget? about. Married to actress Zarina Wahab, his recent movies include: 'Musafir', 'Chalte Chalte', 'Border Hindustan Ka', 'Jaani Dusman': Ek Anokhi Kahani and 'Aaknhen'.
