Biography

Rajpal Yadav is an Indian actor who is known for his eccentric comedy and villainous roles.He belongs to the Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.He has a fan base in India and throughout the world.

He was born and raised in a village called Kudra in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. As a child he loved to participate in Nautanki, a traditional form of folk drama. He completed the degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Shahjhanpur and got admission in Lucknow's Bhartendu Natya Academy (B.N.A).He remained there from 1992-94. He then joined Delhi's Rashtriya Natya Vidyalaya which he graduated from in 1997.

He then went to Mumbai, where he was introduced to Ram Gopal Varma by Anurag Kashyap. He was given a small role in Shool by RGV in which he impressed. His main grab was in Jungle in which he played a villain and earning him two awards.

He had a hit with Main Madhuri Dixit Bana Chahti hoon. He made guest appearances in Kal Ho Na Ho and Love in Nepal.

He has portrayed a number of comic roles in films such as Hungama. Malamaal Weekly, Garam Masala, Waqt: The Race Against Time and Ek aur Ek Gyaara.

After a start in 1999 as a watchman in Dil Kya Kare, Rajpal Yadav was seen as Iqbal Chamdi in Madhur Bhandarkar?s Chandni Bar (2001) and in Ram Gopal Varma?s Road (2002) and Company (2002).

In the comedy Hungama (2003), he played the role of Raja and in Mein Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon he was cast opposite Antara Mali as her friend who marries her and tries to help her realize her dream of being an actress.

2005 to 2009 Yadav?s presence was noted in releases like Paheli (2005), Apna Sapna Money, Money (2006), Chup Chup Ke (2006), Malamaal Weekly (2006), Partner (2007) and God Tussi Great Ho (2008). He wrote and starred in Mein, Mere Patni Aur Woh (2005).

In 2009 he appeared in Priyadarshan?s Billu, Do Not Disturb, Hello Darling and Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai.
